Pickard School of Garden Design. Branding and Website Design
Brief:
To develop the brand, website and supporting marketing materials for the Pickard School of Garden Design. The challenge was to avoid referencing gardening, as Pickard do not offer a ‘how to garden course’ but instead teach a high level diploma on how to design outdoor garden spaces. The course is aimed at 30-50 year old people from generally professional backgrounds who want to re-train.
Solution:
Reform Creative wanted to get across the academic aspect and the idea of garden design whilst being mindful that it is not a horticultural school. We thought the idea of the book morphing into a leaf visually described the school?s values and what it offered students. We knew its professional, contemporary look and clean typography would appeal to the target audience. Colours were selected to represent a professional education establishment, rather than choosing green, which is typically picked for anything garden related. Upon completion of the branding we then developed printed material and also a clean and responsive website.
