National Media Museum. Archive Magazine
After being impressed by Reform’s previous editorial design work, the museum approached Reform with a one-off project request to design and produce issue number nine of their Archive magazine. As a result of the issue’s overwhelmingly positive feedback from the museum, its contributors, and its readers, Reform was ecstatic to learn that they would be asked to design subsequent issues.
The approach that should be taken toward Archive as a design piece was outlined in the brief with three different descriptors. These possessed the following qualities: authority, sophistication, and conceptualisation.
The museum’s exhibitions and the corresponding articles that pertain to them are preserved in the archive. The publication was released on a quarterly basis throughout the year.
