Kyla Brox Band Album Cover

In the enchanting world of music, where every note and melody weaves a unique story, the album cover stands as the visual symphony that introduces the essence of the musical journey within. We at Reform Creative were thrilled when the opportunity arose to craft the visual identity for Kyla Brox Band’s latest live album, recorded at the picturesque Kulturhof Schloss Köniz in Switzerland. Kyla and Dan, the heart and soul behind the band, envisioned an album cover that radiated vibrancy and life, a true testament to the dynamic performance captured within.

Embracing the band’s vision, our design journey was infused with a colour palette that mirrored the energy and emotion of their music. The challenge was not just to create a visually captivating cover but also to ensure the finesse of details, especially when it came to the intricacies of small text printed using the CMYK process.

For the LP edition, we embarked on crafting a double disk cover, a canvas that allowed us to unfold the narrative of the live recording in a more expansive and immersive manner.

The CD version, while compact, did not compromise on impact. It mirrored the LP’s vibrancy and attention to detail, ensuring that the essence of the live performance was conveyed at first glance, creating a tactile connection with the audience, beckoning them to explore the melodies encapsulated within.

Our collaboration with Kyla Brox Band was a journey of creative synergy, culminating in a design that transcends the ordinary, making the album cover not just a protective sleeve, but a gateway to the soul-stirring live experience recorded in Switzerland. At Reform Creative, we believe in the power of design to tell stories, evoke emotions, and create lasting impressions. The Kyla Brox Band’s album cover is a testament to this belief, a visual symphony that resonates with the vibrancy of live music, inviting listeners to be part of an unforgettable journey.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Paul from Reform Creative on our album cover design. He hit every point of the brief and kept us informed and involved at all times. He took on board my thoughts and comments and completed the job efficiently and with creative flair. I’m so pleased with the results.” Kyla Brox

About Kyla Brox

Blues and soul become inextricably entwined in award-winning singer-songwriter, Kyla Brox, whose raw talent has seen her described as “the finest female blues singer of her generation”. Kyla Brox is at the very top of the UK Blues scene.

Daughter of cult blues figure, Victor Brox, the Mancunian vocalist began her career as a teenager in her father’s band and has now honed her own sophisticated sound, as heard on her last two critically acclaimed and award-nominated albums.

Her voice; tender, urgent, gritty, blurring the distinction between pleasure and pain, mixed with the enchantingly fluent guitar work of Paul Farr, inspired bass playing of Danny Blomeley and in-the-pocket drumming of Mark Warburton, combine to make a unique and powerful, often joyous, always emotional experience.

With thousands of albums sold and a constantly growing fanbase, Kyla Brox is widely regarded as one of the very best soul-blues singers the British Isles has ever produced.
